Janie Thompson sang with Ike Carpenter's
orchestra and did a stint with Tony Bennett. In his
autobiography, The Good Life, Bennett wrote, "Janie was loaded with
energy and excitement, and she really thrilled the crowds when she
launched into a boogie-woogie number and accompanied herself on the
piano."
With that same
energy she became legendary at Brigham Young University for putting
together shows
and entertainment groups. that were larger than life
